1. Introduction

StoreInsights AI ("we", "our", or "the App") is a Shopify application that provides analytics and AI-powered insights for Shopify merchants. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you install and use our app.

2. Information We Collect

When you install StoreInsights AI, we access the following data from your Shopify store via the Shopify Admin API, solely for the purpose of providing analytics and insights:

• Orders: order amounts, dates, line items, and fulfilment status
• Products: product titles, variants, inventory levels, and pricing
• Customers: anonymised customer IDs, number of orders, and lifetime spend (no names or email addresses are stored)
• Discounts & Price Rules: discount codes, usage counts, and values
• Locations & Inventory: stock levels across locations

We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as customer names, email addresses, or payment details.

3. How We Use Your Data

Data accessed from your store is used exclusively to:

• Display analytics dashboards within the app
• Generate AI-powered insights and recommendations using Google Gemini AI
• Calculate revenue forecasts and inventory alerts

We do not sell, rent, or share your store data with any third parties except as described in this policy.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

• Google Gemini AI: store data summaries are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate insights. No customer PII is included in these requests.
• Railway: our hosting and database infrastructure provider. Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway.

5. Data Retention

We store session tokens and aggregated analytics data for as long as the app is installed. When you uninstall the app, your store data and session tokens are deleted from our database within 30 days in accordance with Shopify's data protection requirements.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted database connections, HTTPS-only communication, and access controls limited to app functionality.

7. GDPR & Customer Data Requests

We comply with Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks:

• Customer data requests: handled at /webhooks/customers/data_request
• Customer data deletion: handled at /webhooks/customers/redact
• Shop data deletion: handled at /webhooks/shop/redact

8. Your Rights

As a merchant, you may request deletion of your store's data at any time by uninstalling the app or contacting us at the email below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
